Other meaning of havalanmak is to get more oxigen/fresh air for the rooms, but it is used "factitive" or "causative": ettirgen in Turkish:

This morning I had breakfast together with my sister at my town's most famous pastry shop. I remember it since my childhood. However, next week it will close down. The owner is an aged man, he will retire and unfortunately he has no successor.
We ate the nicest croissants and chocolate cakes, and drank the sweetest coffee.
After breakfast we went to do some shopping. I needed new clothes. With my sister's help and good taste I bought some nice stuff
