pumpkin
Submitted by Kimmie on Tue, 04/29/2008 - 03:33.An ant's foot touches a leaf, He senses it;
A pebble shifts in a streambed, He knows it.
(Sanai)
I never tasted pumpkin until my friend made this for me. I would have eaten the whole dishful but I remembered my manners and stopped myself
Now, thanks to Slavica, I can make it for myself . . . AND ONLY FOR MYSELF!!!!
Thank you!
Necla's recipe
Submitted by slavica on Wed, 03/26/2008 - 03:10.Well, Necla prepares it a bit different, with no water. Here's her recipe:
Cut the pumpkin in chunks (thickness 3-4 cm). Put them in the saucepot. Sprinkle granulated sugar to cover pumpkin chunks, repeat this step until cover them completely. Shut saucepot. Wait 12 hours. Then cook on very low heat, first with, then without lid on, until the water drains (it can last long time). Place on serving plate and let cool. Sprinkle walnut and serve.
I sent her the link...
